Our attorney called a couple of days ago to let us know that she has received word from the Putative Father Registry that no father has come forward for Ryleigh during the required 30 day wait...SO....our final court hearing is Tuesday, August 19 in the Muncie City Court!!!!!!
She said to bring a camera and invite family and friends as it will be a special event for us!!!!
After Tuesday afternoon, Ryleigh will be 100% a Peterson!!!

Such wonderful news! This actually made me tear up a little. I've been following your journey for a while now. It hits somewhat close to my heart as my own sister has had struggles with adoption (birth mom backed out weekend before baby was born). I've seen her heartache and am so thankful to see the other end of the spectrum as well. Again, congrats!

I am so happy that August 19 will be right around the corner. I am also glad that Fred is feeling so much better and all is healed.

It's wonderful the father didn't show! You didn't really expect him to though, did you? My, Aug. 19th is such a special day for you and even though you knew it would come to this you couldn't help but worry that something might happen at the last minute. God is good and knows Ryleigh is going to be taken care of with two loving parents! So happy for all of you and especially that lucky beautiful baby girl!
